Inside The World of the Vintage Fashion Fanatic

From VOGUE Magazine, Spring 1964.

Why shop vintage? I think it just allows you to pull something personal out and just create a really unique style that’s your own.

Here are some of my fave little finds:

All bags are from the 1980s and have that big, wonderful, bright gilt. The first bag is a super soft lambskin leather Chanel with double CC. The second is a more unusual, very Madonna in her Holiday, cropped leggings, lace and leather phase. Which come to think of it, is kind of the look these days. Black leather and clear plastic Chanel bag with a long gilt chain.

As well as this crisp white lizard Chanel bag, with gilt tassel and quilted effect gilt chain. Three perfect Chanel bags for the summer when you feel like lightening the load and not carrying the usual 30 pounds of necessary stuff that we somehow end up toting around.

Another great find is this Chanel black leather and gilt cuff, Karl Lagerfeld's - Chanel, motorcycle collection was the dominant look in the early 1990s - in a really glamorous way of course. I like to pair this rare find with a soft frock to toughen it up, into an edgier look.

And last but not least a dramatic  over sized  earrings,  also Chanel with poured glass in gilt and a pearl midpoint.

Tip: Things to look  for when you’re shopping for

Vintage are: Color, embellishments,  fabrications

and designer names.

Thanks for passing by and stay fab!^^

XOXO
