More techniques to help your site grow

As much as we all love Publicity Wheel for generating traffic and exposure for our sites, there are many other things you can do to both increase traffic and grow your online business in general. We've collated some useful links below that are all excellent reading, and should help you regardless of the type of site you're running.

Quick Spins and Double Points!

You may have already seen a sneak peak of some of our upcoming activities through the Events Calendar, but if you haven't, we're going to be doing things a little differently for 5 days from this Thursday 18th September (we'll be back to normal next week).
Quick Spins
For selected categories, we'll be spinning the wheel once each day to allow more sites to get a taste of Publicity Wheel exposure. You may get lots of clicks or you may not, but we'll give you every chance by giving the quick spin winners 24 hours of full exposure. Winners will be selected the same way, but we won't take any points away from you, so you'll still be in for a real chance next week when we spin the wheel again for 5 days. Now is the time to update your 125x125 banner image, as you'll be sure to get a few more visitors that way.
Double Points
During the entire 5 day period, you'll get double the publicity points you normally would, so get the Publicity Wheel widget into a prominent location on your site to cash in. Given the number of points previous winners were holding at the time, it doesn't necessarily take a lot to win.

See what's next with our Events Calendar

There are lots of great activities coming up on the wheel, and we want to make sure you know exactly what's happening and when. As a result, we've just launched our Events Calendar, a great reference that can be used to see all the Publicity Wheel events on one page.
The Events Calendar is powered by Google, so that means it can be integrated into your existing Google or other calendar. You can subscribe to the XML feed in your RSS reader or add the iCAL file into your existing calendar.
Take a quick look at the Events Calendar now to get a sneak peak of what's in the plans. You may notice a few interesting activities coming up, so make sure you keep up with the blog for more info to come!

Our new server is live!

We've successfully moved servers today without any major hiccups. Things should run much faster now. Pleasecontact us if anything appears broken :)
Just a quick note to everyone that Publicity Wheel will be down temporarily this Thursday 4th September whilst we migrate to a new (and much quicker) server. It is expected that this process should take no longer than 24-48 hours. Your 125x125 pixel banner will display as normal and Publicity Points should continue to tick over.
If there are any issues that may arise unexpectedly, we'll most certainly extend the duration of the next spin to 6 or 7 days.
