Christina Aguilera Confirmed As Third Coach On “The Voice”

After a rough start to her week, Christina Aguilera has some good news to share: she’s landed a new job. NBC announced this afternoon that Christina Aguilera will be joining Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green as a coach on the upcoming show “The Voice“.

They shared in a press statement:

“Christina Aguilera has a once in a generation talent — her voice is phenomenally distinctive and instantly recognizable. Her journey as an artist, who started so young in the music business, will be an inspiration to the talent she coaches on the show.”

Christina Aguilera is excited about the new opportunity:

“I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.I am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to ‘The Voice.’”

It’s a shame that this news is overshadowed by her drunken incident earlier this week, but hopefully she can get some help and move forward with her new show. It premieres April 26th.
