The Top Looks From S/S11 LFW & More...

Hot off the press... London Fashion Week has its very own newspaper called The Daily. Am sure you've already spotted it being doled out on stylish street corners alongside the Evening Standard. But today, there's an even better than usual reason to read its daily round up of show reports, designer profiles and backstage gossip...

Julien Macdonald

Macdonald's offers a wistfully romantic spin on Macdonald's usual illustriously strong and glamorous designs.

Selfridges New Show Galleries: The Scene

Antonio Berardi

Known for artful tailoring, Berardi's S/S11 collection, inspired by fencers of the Victorian era, features beautifully cut cropped jackets paired with fluid, over-long wide-leg trousers, flippy layered skirts or dresses with full trains that are split down the side or unbuttoned at the centre to above the knee.

 Mary Katrantzou

Mary Katrantzou's C'est ci nes pas une chamber (this is not a room) is beautiful and surreal. The collection "takes its cue from the surrealist world of René Margrite", and Mary certainly infused the collection with a Surrealist's sense of humour.

Alexander McQueen Memorial

  Kate Moss

 Sarah Jessica Parker

  Naomi Campbell

  Stella McCartney

London -- and the rest of the fashion world -- paused from fashion week activities to pay tribute to Alexander McQueen in a memorial at London's St. Paul's Cathedral, seven months after the designer's sudden and tragic passing.

Sass & Bide

Push and pull, rough and smooth; it all seems very tactile, but yet light - a lovely quality for summer clothing.

Burberry Prorsum

Between the new retail concept (watch the show live on an iPad in-store, click to buy on your favorite look and receive it seven weeks later), Christopher Bailey continues to keep the venerable Burberry Prorsum name at the head of the tech pack. Design-wise he did something similar, taking staples like the trench and toughening it up with a sexy biker edge.

XOXO
