Head Master

Elizabeth Taylor and Alexandre de Paris in 1963

Prada
Hairstylist Alexander de Paris may have died in 2008, but this season he was clearly a runway inspiration. Born Louis Alexander Raimon, Alexandre was a paragon of the 1960’s, known for elaborate updos, braided attachments, and a 30-year runway collaboration with Yves Saint Laurent. His clients included the grandest of dames: Princess Grace, Elizabeth Taylor, and Audrey Hepburn

Recently, at the ‘60s-inspired fall 2010 Prada collection, the models looked very glamorous with knitted headband that came across like an Alexandre braid idea, modernized. Good ideas never go out of style.
