The Stars Go Twitter-Silent for a Cause

Tomorrow is World AIDS Day, and the charity Keep a Child Alive is launching "Digital Life Sacrifice," a fund-raising campaign with 18 celebrities like Daphne Guinness, Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga. The usually Twitter and Facebook-happy stars will go completely offline — the "digital death" — until one million dollars is raised for the organization. Donations can be made through buylife.org.

@KimKardashian's tweet today: "I'm kinda sad that all of my social media will be dead tomorrow and I won't be tweeting. I love u guys! Bring me back to life soon!" And @TheRealDaphne said: "This campaign is so striking and draws attention not only to the AIDS disaster in Africa but also to how we have lost our way in what we care about. I care about the 2.5 million children who are living with AIDS in Africa. All children deserve an equal chance to fulfill their dreams. And I care about the parents and families being lost to this treatable, preventable disease.  Please PARTICIPATE...I am sacrificing my digital life tonight and will be shouting from the rooftops everywhere I can that AIDS can be stopped, with our devotion to helping. "

Moda Goes 3-D

Pop-up shops are nothing new under the sun. But pop-up dresses? With the news that Gucci is producing 3D movie-viewing glasses, I decided to look at some of the most three-dimensional looks from the runways. From left, Maison Martin Margiela, Marc Jacobs, Giambattista Valli and Marchesa. (By the way, the Gucci specs are about AED 826 and will be available in December, if you're looking to enjoy "Never Say Never" in high style.)
