Prada's Barrette-Bedecked Pony

Fall Trend to Try Now:

I loved the lock look at Prada’s fall 2011 show. Hairstylist Guido anchored the 1960s Catherine Deneuve-inspired ponytails with a simple, silver Goody barrette.

For a “very girly, very young, innocent sophistication,” he explained. Key styling product: Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray (AED 58) for lots of texture and hold.

A Flick of the Wrist

Adorning one's own wrists with baubles, bracelets, bangles, watches (sometimes more than one), and tattoos is de rigueur it seems because images are popping up everywhere on my radar.
Elle McPherson was the first person I noticed in the fashion world adorning her wrist with an assortment of baubles, including a Rolex Daytona men's watch.
This little trend most likely came about from humble beginnings such as having no where else to put a spare hair band.  Now friendship bracelets of all designs are being piled up our wrists.
Two watches - two times to keep track of - I have enough trouble with just one time-zone!
Giovanna Battaglia in Azzedine Alaia.  This dress is just so gorgeous I had to post this picture, but you can see she wears it well with her wrist accoutrement!
Why not try going through that box of old forgotten jewellery you keep somewhere in the back of your closet because there is bound to be something interesting you can give new life to there, or maybe if you ask nicely your grandma will let you raid her box of trinkets, you could, or at the very least, steal (sorry, borrow) your man's watch.  Whatever works, cause it seems to!

Spring Accessories Fix with Net-a-Porter!

Now that April is upon us, I'm casting the finishing touches to set off my spring look, and Net-a-Porter has some new items today that caught my eye. Vitamin C with Stella McCartney's citrus-print clutch, a stylish comfort with Lanvin's metal-accent flat sandals, or a bit of Coachella-ready bohemian charm with a multicolored Jil Sander scarf

Thought of the Day

Congratulations to Rachel Zoe who gave birth to 6 lb., 12 ounce Skyler. Looks like that McQueen diaper bag will be getting some use! [Twitter]

Seeing Red Amanda Seyfried plays the title role in the creepy yet cinematically gorgeous retelling of the children's fable Red Riding Hood.

Net-A-Porter's Bag Guide

If the sound of spring's hottest handbags rushing into stores is like music to your ears, you'll be playing Net-A-Porter's new style guide on a loop. The haute e-commerce site has put the zipping, snapping, and clasping of our favorite accessories to a beat, and created a music video that puts Stomp! to shame. Check out the video for a new, musical way to see all of the season's must-have bags.

Spotted at Paris Fashion Week Fall 2011

Shala Monroque is elegant in a fur-trimmed coat and whimsical necklace.

The orange underside of her hat gives the look a wonderful pop of color.

An otherwise casual look gets a dose of drama with a sheer, trailing cape.

Ringletted sisters Sama and Haya Abu Khadra show off their Chanel looks.

Zanna Roberts Rassi's got another winner on her hands with this leather jacket-long skirt combo.

Anna Dello Russo channels the world's most fashionable Fabergé egg.

I've been touting plenty of colorful looks for spring, but if you're committed to head-to-toe black, here's a master class in how to wear it.

How best to show off your swingy trench and circle skirt? Twirl.

Street style photographer Mr. Newton now turns his lens on the chic women on the streets of Paris during Fashion Week.
