Prada's Barrette-Bedecked Pony

Fall Trend to Try Now:

I loved the lock look at Prada’s fall 2011 show. Hairstylist Guido anchored the 1960s Catherine Deneuve-inspired ponytails with a simple, silver Goody barrette.

For a “very girly, very young, innocent sophistication,” he explained. Key styling product: Redken Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray (AED 58) for lots of texture and hold.

Net-A-Porter's Bag Guide

If the sound of spring's hottest handbags rushing into stores is like music to your ears, you'll be playing Net-A-Porter's new style guide on a loop. The haute e-commerce site has put the zipping, snapping, and clasping of our favorite accessories to a beat, and created a music video that puts Stomp! to shame. Check out the video for a new, musical way to see all of the season's must-have bags.

Benefit Finding Mr. Bright

Luminous skin isn’t a trend—it’s a necessity. So to help you easily achieve that lit-from-within glow, Benefit Cosmetics has combined miniature versions of their four top-selling complexion brighteners into one really cool kit (AED 132). Mix and match them day or night and never look dull again: Erase Paste (a creamy camouflage concealer), Girl Meets Pearl (sheer highlighter), PosieTint (poppy tinted lip and cheek stain), and High Beam (pink shimmer complexion enhancer).

Spotted at Paris Fashion Week Fall 2011

Shala Monroque is elegant in a fur-trimmed coat and whimsical necklace.

The orange underside of her hat gives the look a wonderful pop of color.

An otherwise casual look gets a dose of drama with a sheer, trailing cape.

Ringletted sisters Sama and Haya Abu Khadra show off their Chanel looks.

Zanna Roberts Rassi's got another winner on her hands with this leather jacket-long skirt combo.

Anna Dello Russo channels the world's most fashionable Fabergé egg.

I've been touting plenty of colorful looks for spring, but if you're committed to head-to-toe black, here's a master class in how to wear it.

How best to show off your swingy trench and circle skirt? Twirl.

Spotted at Milan Fashion Week Fall 2011

The Blonde Salad's Chiara Ferragni makes her floral skirt and bright red bag pop.

Animal print looks subtle in a muted color and a volume-packed silhouette.

Street style favorite Anna Dello Russo isn't afraid to pile on the runway hits, from her Balenciaga jacket to her Prada lace-ups and Bottega Veneta bag.

'70s chic lives on in a neutral maxiskirt and earthy wedges.

Nothing makes a statement like a bright, oversized envelope clutch.

The bright skirt is eye-catching, sure, but the exaggerated cat-eye sunglasses and open-toed boots are even more daring.

Snejana Onopka has model-off-duty style down pat, from the tortoiseshell sunnies to the skinny gray jeans.

Model Karmen Pedaru knows the power of a statement fur.

Anna Dello Russo hits another one out of the park in her Miu Miu jacket and eye-catching neon dress.

Jourdan Dunn's leather shorts are the perfect intersection of youthful and edgy.

Post-Gucci, Caroline Brasch Nielsen and Jefimija Jokic accessorize their smoldering show makeup with a teeny Alexander Wang bag and a strapping Balenciaga tote.

Ponytails Rule NYFW

Marc Jacobs

Proenza Schouler

Ralph Lauren

The ponytail got some major attention this season on New York’s hottest runways: Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Ralph Lauren, along with BCBG, Max Azria, and DVF. Whether pulled high on the crown, lengthy and disheveled, or tied low and sleek, hairstylists found new ways to reinvent this classic style. I'm hoping the tail continues to turn heads on the catwalks in Paris and Milan, but only time will tell...

Olivia Palermo for Tibi

Am sure that you may noticed that I somewhat have a girl crush on Olivia Palermo *ggls*. I never get bored of her impeccable sense of style‬, while tracking her down the shows. But this isn't another shot trotting around NYC. In fact, Tibi have signed up OP as the face of their latest ad campaign.

Known for her stylishly-spot-on-eye, they've asked her to model items from the Tibi rack that she hand-picked herself. The former City star poses in front of fake backdrops of the most fashionable cities. The informal tone of the campaign is intended to bring a twist to the street style snapshot that you’ve seen on so many fashion blogs. Clever, no?
:-PpP... I have to admit! Couldn't help myself and got my hands on some of the featured looks, which are on their way bientôt. If you can't either, indulge yourself in here!

Speaking of Lux

Prabal Gurung

Peter Som

Alexander Wang

Wes Gordon

Jason Wu

"Luxury" is an overused term in the fashion lexicon. But this Fashion Week, an undercurrent of true luxe has been emerging. Whether it's fun furs at Prabal Gurung and Peter Som, feathery nothings at Jason Wu or a sweater-topped, shredded evening gown at Alexander Wang, there's plenty here to delight those who love to make a statement. 24-year-old up-and-comer Wes Gordon got in on the uptown-lady action at his presentation, held at the St. Regis.

How to Wear Color

Jil Sander

Andy Warhol, Flowers, 1970

      Prada, Canvas-and-leather  clutch.

Miu Miu

The axiom "a little goes a long way" applies to few things so sharply as Day-Glo: It's best to  choose one vibrant piece (a skirt, a top) and build an outfit around that. Paired with white, the colors can look clean and crisp; with black, they take on a downtown edge. Neutrals like gray, taupe, or cream tone down Day-Glo and make the look more versatile. If you're gutsy enough to wear a high-wattage hue on top and bottom, ground your style with black pumps or a camel bag.

On Jil Sander's spring runway, a long peplum skirt in blinding orange creates a T-shirt-over-ball-gown effect, Prada offers ladylike dresses in rainbow stripes and Miu Miu used vivid colors. They're all proof that Day-Glo can be worn (by an adult) with confidence.

Trend Alert: Waist-Defining Belts at the SAG Awards

January Jones in Carolina Herrera

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta

Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton

Jennifer Lawrence in Oscar de la Renta

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen

On the SAG Awards red carpet last night, there wasn't a color or silhouette that took on a trend, but an accessory! Some of the best-dressed girls chose gowns featuring waist-flattering belts. Très joli! *heart*^^
