Un Jour Dans Ma Vie: 24 Hours in D-town

A typical day pour moi à Dubaï

9:25 A.M. Breakfast I have my toffee nut latte in hand so that's a good start!

10:17 A.M. Client Meeting At the office, jammed with meetings all morning. 


12:45 P.M. Rolling to D-mall (As we Dubaians or "I" name it! *ggls*.) Dubai Mall is one of my fave spots for shopping, while I’m in town. There's nothing your looking for, you won't find. 



1:02 P.M. Playing Catch-Up With some friends for Lunch at Armani Caffè.

3:20 P.M. Retail Therapy   At the Fashion Avenue, there is always something new in stores. Plus I can never get bored of shopping.


6:35 P.M. Zen Moment With my yoga instructor. "Yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory", she says. An hour and a half later dinner is served, along with my daily routine of TV shows. (By the way, what's your latest favorite TV show?)^^

Pick Of The Week

New York's slick. London's swinging & Milan is molto sexy but Paris has that ‘je ne sais quoi’ that we just adore. When in Paree. The fash pack flock to Hotel Costes & who could blame them for wanting to smuggle home a keepsake from the temple of chic. A costes candle or scent brings some Gallic flair into any abode.

Un Jour Dans Ma Vie: 24 Hours in NYC

8:15 A.M. WAKE-UP CALL(S) When traveling, I need as much nudging as possible to get going in the morning. I set my BlackBerry alarm and have the concierge call and a latte delivered to my door. I turn on GMA and stare at what's left in my closet. I start my fashion prep and settle on my outfit: Chanel tweed jacket, top, salmon crocodile flap, Calvin Klein black skinny jersey pants and Louboutin silettos.

10:05 A.M. COFFEE TALK I'm not embarrassed to admit I drink Starbucks in New York, and I am blessed to have one steps from my hotel, which I hit before my hair appointment.

11:30 P.M. MAKE-OVER At Warren Tricomi -Fifth Avenue at Central Park. For a hair dye, trim &  blow dry with Lea. She's such a doll and did a great job.

1:35 P.M. ON THE GO Zipping though New York in a hired car -though I prefer to travel by foot to avoid traffic.

1:50 P.M. LUNCH "I'm starving!" Lunch-ing at Nello -ordered a salad and pasta. You can eat here all day, and the food is pretty quick.

3:45 P.M. CHANEL We go to the Chanel showroom for an up-close look at the latest collections. I LOVE hearing about the inspiration behind a collection and seeing all the looks broken down piece by piece.

5:34 P.M. BACK IN THE CAR Stopped by The famous NYC dessert place, Serendipity for a frrrozen hot chocolate.

6:55 EVENING HOURS After Serendipity,  we stopped by Barneys. Then it's off to dinner at Philippe Chow with some friends and back to the hotel to pack; tomorrow is my last day in NY. I'm always a bit sad when a trip comes to an end, but I can't wait to go to L.A.

System Restore

 

So, obviously, I took my time getting back to my "system" of sleep. When my alarm went off this morning at 8:00, all I wanted to do is stretch my arm out the window effortlessly & throw my blackberry out & never see it again!  It took an hour & 25 minutes of 10-minute snoozing & jumping out of my skin every time my alarm went off again before I dragged my feet out of bed.

Anyways, after getting ready I started off the day with a hot cup of coffee. Then slipped into my pretty ballerinas & bounced to Obsession, a beauty & personal care centre. Having so much free time lately, I've been obsessed with pampering myself with all kind of treatments. And my latest discovery is LPG Cellu M6. This is the treatment that I'm into ATM. It's almost like Velashape the one that Kim Kardashian did for her cellulite. It's not that I have much, I'm just aiming for perfection. *ggls* I know, I know no one is. But I mean what's the harm in wanting to be comfortable in your own skin. Right?
