Jewellery, Baubles, Rings and things

Not long ago I received an email from Sarah at LuShae Jewelry asking me to review her website on my blog.  I hadn't ever thought about doing that kind of thing before, and the only catch was that in return for mentioning her website, I would receive a complimentary piece of jewellery from her site (of my choice no less).

I kind of felt a bit weird about that, especially as there has been a lot of hullabaloo lately about bloggers receiving gifts from designers, etc.  But you know what?  Beauty and Fashion editors get the best perks working for magazines, so why shouldn't bloggers?

So here we go...

Buying jewellery online, is it safe?  Well, if you're an online shopper, chances are you have already weighed up the pros and cons of this and it isn't a problem for you.  But if you're a novice, there are some helpful hints that LuShae Jewelry offer on their very comprehensive website that may offer piece of mind.  They also offer and extensive guide to jewellery which left no doubt in mind as to how valuable this information could be for an inexperienced shopper, such as buying jewellery for men, to knowing how to tell the difference between a great piece of jewellery and a poorly made piece.

LuShae Jewelry offer unique designs made from authentic sterling silver with a wide range of precious and semi precious gemstones.

After browsing the many designs, I decided on a gorgeous Topaz ring.  It wasn't an easy decision because there are so many styles to choose from, so I suggest that you take your time, because the more you look, the more you will discover.

Sarah told me that she designs half of the pieces and that the other half is decided upon by the customers (by reviewing the popularity of pieces by how many times they are purchased and viewed online).

"I have been into fashion, design and art for as long as I can remember." Sarah said, "I believe all artists develop their eye and inspiration by seeing diversity in art... Just like a wine taster develops their palette."

I also asked her a few questions about her business and how she got started.

"I started because of my passion for the industry and a need to challenge myself.  I never felt my potential was being utilized...  I was always going to be my own boss eventually.  It's so exciting and challenging for me, I couldn't imagine living another way now."

Sarah is committed to her business giving the whole buying experience, whether you are a  just browsing or a dedicated shopper.

"Honest reviews from prominent bloggers helps my customers feel assured they're dealing with someone committed to their buying experience."

Thank you Sarah for introducing me to your gorgeous jewellery line.  I love the ring I chose because not only is it very well made, but it looks exactly like it did in the pictures on the web and your customer service was very impressive.

I am sure that I will have no trouble finding plenty more excuses to purchase more of your unique and stunning designs!

What I Crave

So it's official. The thing I love right now are cool bib necklaces. I've already got two , but I keep seeing ones I want to buy!

Urban Outfitters

Topshop

Ranjana Khan

Normally I'm not a jewelry person, so I'm sure in a few weeks I'll be in love with something else.

In the meantime, I won't be around for a few days because I'm going to Las Vegas! It's not as glamorous as you all think because it's a vacation/family visit. So I won't be waking up the next morning with a tiger in my hotel bathroom.

They say it's your birthday

In honor of my birthday (I'm a whopping 22 years old!) I thought I'd make a post of my favorite things:

It's in the bag skirt from Cuffs

Melody Boots by 80%20

Mischen dress

Marni shoes

Silence and Noise ruffle tunic

Truly Madly Deeply tunic

Betsey Johnson bathing suit top

Something Else hooded cape

Dawn McKlevie leather cuff

Clairelafaye victorian chain tank

Georgina Goodman

Fernanda Pereira accordion neck piece

Julian Louie (possibly my new favorite designer)

And the accessory everyone should have:
Savant bandage bralette

I own zero of these lovelies, but I believe if I'm crafty enough I can make the bralette and something akin to the victorian tank. And my next purchases will hopefully be the 80%20 boots and the Truly Madly Deeply tunic. After all, I did get some money today!
