Emily Blunt Wishes She'd Gone to College

Emily Blunt landed her first movie role when she was 20, so she never pursued any higher education. As a result, she thinks she missed out on the chance to learn about life and make mistakes away from the public eye.

She said: “I just wish I’d had that experience and that time to really mess up, and to be around fellow people who had no idea that they were throwing caution to the wind.”

The 28-year-old screen beauty -- who is married to actor John Krasinski and was previously engaged to Michael Buble -- admits she has made bad decisions trying to keep up with other stars, and is grateful to have settled down with someone who makes her feel fulfilled.

She added in an interview with The Times newspaper: “When you’re attempting to grow up at an accelerated rate, in order to have some kind of acceptance among your peers, I think you’re dancing as fast as you can sometimes.

“I feel like I’ve been on a big learning curve. I’ve messed up and I’ve arrived out the other end.

“And I’m lucky to have ended up with John and to realize that relationships don’t have to be an endurance test.

“I feel personally fulfilled right now, and lucky enough to have in John someone who is truly comfortable in his own skin and truly knows who he is.”

Taking care of a promotional appearance, Emily Blunt was spotted outside of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” studios in Los Angeles last night.

The “Gulliver’s Travels” gal was in the house to plug her new film “The Adjustment Bureau” also starring Matt Damon.

During her interview with Kimmel, Emily became a bit frustrated when Jimmy kept playing her clip from his “Hottie Body Humpilates” instead of “The Adjustment Bureau” footage.

Ms. Blunt explained, "It is funny the first time. But the second time I'm actually trying to promote the movie."

“I think actresses still think they have to be super-thin. There are actors who can turn up on the set 30lbs overweight and no one bats an eyelid. If a girl did that, they’d tell you to get in the gym, so I don’t think it’s changed that much. Actors can get away with a lot more because they can cover it up more.”

At the same time, Emily Blunt would love the change to gain weight for a role:

“I’d love to get fat. I’d eat everything in sight! Matt Damon said for ‘The Informant’ he was in heaven every day eating fried chicken and burgers and carbonara. That idea sounds very nice to me. It would be worth having to lose it afterwards for four months of eating like that.”

Emily Blunt On Kissing Matt Damon In ‘The Adjustment Bureau’

Emily Blunt laughed when she had to kiss Matt Damon. By the time their love scene came up on the schedule for ‘The Adjustment Bureau’, the pair had become fast friends. Imagine having to make out with a close buddy  while a group of strangers watched.

“It comes with the job. By the time Matt and I had become friends and I had got to know his wife Lucy, I laughed the whole time, because it’s so embarrassing to kiss somebody who is your friend.”

Emily Blunt also told Style that one of her passions is cooking:

“I love to cook and I love to eat. I make a great Thai green curry and a great roast chicken. “I do it all the time. Obsessively. It relaxes me and I get zenned out. I go into a meditative state and I don’t want anyone helping me.”

But cooking lavish meals and indulging in sweets was not something Emily Blunt could do while filming her latest movie. She had to get really thin for the role which meant LOTS of gym time.

“When I did ‘The Adjustment Bureau’ last year, I had to get really thin again and it was hell. I had to get ripped at the gym.”

Actors really have a lot of dedication in that department. Imagine having to beef up or really slim down with a deadline?

I just adored Emily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada. Her character whas quintessentially English but her attitude was pure New Yorker. The world of magazine publishing is extremely competitive and there was never a doubt in my mind that Emily would succeed at Runway magazine. I adored how she never gave Anne Hathaway's character Andy an ounce of sympathy.

The theme of the shoot was tres fairy princess. How divine it must have been for Miss Blunt to slip into these incredible pieces of wearable art. It seems that couture is alive and well, even in these gloomy economic times.
